The Ultimates is a versatile party rock band known for amazing covers of the big hits we all grew up on, as well as current chart toppers. Their combination of musicianship, vocal ability, and song selection is exceptional. From Bruno Mars to Billy Joel, Springsteen to Sabrina Carpenter, The Ultimates will have you on your feet and singing along.

The 2 founding members, Dave (keyboard) and John (drums) have been making music together for over 20 years. Throughout the 20-teens they performed as ‘Bad Chaperones,’ which quickly become a local favorite in the Lake George and Saratoga party scene. In 2021, after the lockdown, the two rebounded to form The Ultimates. Their goal has always been to perform fun songs that people love in a lively, creative and engaging way, while staying true to the original recording.

Completing the rhythm section is Bassist Dan Gerken, who was born into a family of professional musicians in Jackson, TN. He moved to Albany after H.S. to major in Upright Bass at the College of Saint Rose. With decades of experience in all types of bands and solo gigs, Dan lays down the groove while belting out many of the crowd favorites.

The main ingredient setting this band apart are the two powerhouse vocalists, Beth Tranka and Just Nate:

Beth was a well-established performer in her home town in Berkshire County before relocating in 2016.  She quickly exploded on the scene and spent 7 years front and center with ‘the Refrigerators.’ Her vocal flair, diverse range and electrifying stage presence shines thru on anthems from legendary divas like Whitney Houston, Lady Gaga and many others that will surprise you.

Nate, a well established solo performer, was a trumpet major at Fredonia. He not only covers guitar and lead vocals, but also blasts out the occasional horn line. Now in their 6th summer, there is tremendous momentum behind this ensemble, as they deliver their eclectic mix of popular favorites. Several gigs will also feature Ryan Z on sax.
